Arizona Rattlers to hold open tryout

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League will hold the first of a two-day free agent tryout camp on Sunday, Sept. 25 at America West Arena on the Rattlers' playing field.
The first day, which fans are invited to attend, will begin with registration at 11 a.m. for offensive/defensive linemen and fullback/linebackers, who will participate at noon.
Quarterbacks, wide receiver/defensive backs and specialists will register at 3 p.m. and participate at 4 p.m.
The session for kickers, which is private, will be on Monday, September 26 with registration at 9 a.m.
America West Arena is located at 201 E. Jefferson Ave., Phoenix, Ariz. 85004. Parking is free to all tryout participants. The parking garage entrance is on the west side of the building.
The tryout will be conducted on artificial turf. Therefore, each participant should bring proper shoes. A day of registration fee of $75.00 will be charged and a waiver release form will need to be signed during registration.
Pre-registration fee will be $50.00. To pre-register, prospective players should contact JT Thompson at 602-514-8301 and provide: name, height, weight, position, playing experience, telephone number.
The Rattlers will kick off their 15th season in the 20-year old Arena Football League in January of 2006. Rattler season tickets, which include all eight games played at America West Arena, can be purchased by calling 602-514-8300.
