
Standout quarterback earns Gladiators' Ironman Award

Las Vegas, NV, September 14, 2005 - The Las Vegas Gladiators, in partnership with News 3's "Operation: Football," awarded Jared Noa of Centennial High School the Gladiators' Ironman Award for the third week of the 2005 high school football season.
In Centennial's second win of the season, the senior quarterback led the Bulldogs to a 27-23 come from behind victory over Green Valley High School on Friday, September 9. Noa led the Bulldogs to victory in the final :39 seconds of the game with two passing touchdowns. He finished the game 25-of-36 for 256 yards passing and rushed for a score.
White also excels off the field well as he holds a 4.07 cumulative GPA.
This award recognizes student-athletes who have achieved both on the playing field and in the classroom. These achievements are reflective of the players in the AFL, where the majority of the athletes have skills as two-way performers.
Athletes are nominated for the award by their respective schools based on their weekly performance. Winners are recognized with a certificate presentation at their school with Gladiators' head coach Ron James and News 3 sports anchors Mitch Roberts or Rick Strasser. The presentation is featured on News 3 each week.
