Arizona Rattlers Announce Schedule for 2021 IFL Season

PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers have announced their 16-game schedule for the 2021 Indoor Football League (IFL) season.

Arizona will begin the 2021 season on the road against the Duke City Gladiators in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday April 3. The Rattlers will then return to Phoenix for their home opener at Phoenix Suns Arena on Saturday, April 10 at 6:05 p.m., when they host their newest in-state rivals, the Northern Arizona Wranglers.

Coming off of their bye week on July 4 weekend, the Rattlers will also host Northern Arizona on Saturday, July 10 at 6:05 p.m. The Rattlers will host their southern rivals, the Tucson Sugar Skulls on Saturday, May 8 at 6:05 p.m. and on Saturday, June 26 at 6:05 p.m.

On Friday, April 16 at 5:05 p.m., the Rattlers will travel to South Dakota to face the Sioux Falls Storm in a rematch of the 2019 United Bowl. They'll then return home to play their second home game of the season against the Spokane Shock on Saturday, April 24 at 6:05 p.m.

In addition to home-and-home series with Duke City, Northern Arizona, and Spokane, three more expansion teams appear on the Rattlers' schedule, including the Louisville Xtreme, Frisco Fighters, and Massachusetts Pirates. Arizona will be on the road to face Louisville and Massachusetts, while it will host Frisco on Saturday, May 29 at 6:05 p.m.

The Rattlers will host their only Sunday matinee game against Duke City on May 16 at 3:05 p.m. and they will end the 2021 regular season at home on Saturday, July 24 against the Green Bay Blizzard.

The first round of the 2021 IFL Playoffs is scheduled to begin on the weekend of July 31, with the second round taking place on the weekend of August 7. United Bowl weekend will be August 21.
