Arizona Rattlers News Release

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The Arizona Rattlers (13-2) prevailed once again, defeating the Philadelphia Soul (5-10) 55-54. Trailing in the fourth quarter, the Rattlers held steadfast, making a key stop they so desperately needed and scoring on the ensuing offensive possession to topple the Soul. QB NICK DAVILA completed 28-of-42 passes for 320 yards and seven touchdowns, finding WR ROD WINDSOR in the endzone three times. Windsor finished with another stellar game catching 11 balls for 131 yards. The NFL bound wide receiver eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark for the tenth time this season. Defensively, the Rattlers applied a bend but don't break mentality, coming up big when the game really mattered. DB VIRGIL GRAY led the team with four tackles while also handling kickoff duties. Late in the fourth quarter, with the game still up for grabs, Arizona made a huge defensive stand, stopping the Soul and taking back possession of the ball. On Arizona's next drive, Davila found unlikely hero OL JOHN BOOKER for a touchdown. The score came with six seconds to go, virtually eliminating any Soul comeback. Offensively for the Soul, QB Ryan Vena completed 18 -of- 32 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns. Vena made his mark for the Soul rushing for four touchdowns and proving to be a viable duel threat. WR Donovan Morgan contributed with five catches for 98 yards and one touchdown. ~~~~~
