Argos to Host 10th Annual Huddle up Summit on May 3

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club, in partnership with the Canadian Safe School Network, is proud to celebrate the conclusion of 15th year of the Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program, presented by Tim Hortons, with the 10th annual Huddle Up Leadership Committee Summit on Tuesday, May 3, at the Enercare Centre on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds.

The 10th Annuual Huddle Up Leadership Committee Summit will unite Argonauts players and cheerleaders with high school and elementary students who attend a Huddle Up presentation during the 2015-16 academic year. Argonauts players who have played an integral role in the Huddle Up Program and will be in attendance at this year's summit include Matt Black, Kevin Bradfield, Ricky Foley, Shane Herbert, Tyler Holmes and James Yurichuk.

The 10th Annual Huddle Up Leadership Committee Summit, which takes place during Canadian Mental Awareness Week, is a day of learning and idea sharing on the topic of bullying prevention. This is an exciting opportunity for students from different schools to work together to identify ways to positively impact their school environment and take action towards bullying. Guided by program staff and facilitated by Toronto Argonauts players and cheerleaders, Huddle Up Leadership Committee members are given a platform for their views to be heard by fellow students, teachers and program staff.

This year's summit will feature keynote speaker, Deepa Prashad from the Family Channel. In addition to this year's sessions for the students, the Canadian Red Cross will also host a seminar specifically for teachers which will be highlighted by their newest bullying assessment tool.
