
Argos Sign WR Rodney Smith

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the team has signed international wide receiver Rodney Smith.
Smith, 28, has spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns since being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings in 2013. He played in four regular-season games between Minnesota and Cleveland. In 2017 NFL preseason action with the Seahawks, the 6-6, 219-pound native of Miami, Florida, hauled in two receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Smith played in 48 games, starting 34, at Florida State University where he caught 106 passes for 1,540 yards and 10 touchdowns in four seasons with the Seminoles.
Smith will join the rest of the Argos when the team heads South for their 2018 Mini Camp at IMG Academy from April 17-19.
