Argos Neighbourhood Summer Streetfest

Toronto – To celebrate Canada Day weekend, the Toronto Argonauts will be hosting a Neighbourhood Summer Streetfest prior to the July 3 game at SkyDome against the Montreal Alouettes. A great event for the whole family, John Street will be closed from Mercer Street south to Front Street as the festivities kick-off at 3:00 p.m.

The party will feature the Movenpick Double Blue Club, a patio area serving a variety of food and beverages, including Steelback Beer. Argo Park will comprise a variety of activities including an obstacle course, a football throw competition, and a Canon photo booth where fans can dress up in full Argo gear and get their picture taken. Finally, Argo Avenue will feature various merchants from around the community, including Tony Roma's and Philthy McNasty's, who will serve up delectable samples of their cuisine. Additionally, Argo merchandise and tickets will be on-sale.

The Argos Neighbourhood Summer Streetfest will feature a variety of entertainment. From Argonauts alumni and cheerleaders to clowns, face painters, magicians, hip hop dancers and stilt-walkers, there is something for everyone, Mojo Radio AM 640, an event partner, will be broadcasting live from the event and music will be provided by the Argonotes. The Argos are also pleased to welcome the Toronto Sun as an event partner. Gatorade and Frito-Lay will provide refreshments to the crowd and there will be many prizes to be won at the Streetfest.

The event is produced by the Vision Group of Companies in cooperation with the Toronto Argonauts.
