Argos Add A Pair In Time For Rookie Camp

Mississauga - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club rounded out its roster today by signing OL Michael Byrne and DE Broderick Stewart. Both players will take the field tomorrow when Argos Rookie Camp opens.

Michael Byrne gained valuable experience over the past two seasons as a member of the Calgary Stampeders' practice roster. The 6-foot, 5-inch, 300 pound lineman from the University of Delaware was an All-American as a senior and attended 2008 training camp with the NFL's Miami Dolphins.

Broderick Stewart played five seasons at Vanderbilt University where he also studied Engineering Science. He started almost every game as a junior and senior after redshirting as a freshman.

The Toronto Argonauts also announced today that DB Dovonte Edwards has been released. Edwards recently ruptured his Achilles tendon.
