Toronto Argonauts News Release

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club would like to thank its largest crowd of the season, 31,212 strong, for showing its support of the team last night at the SkyDome. The coaching staff made a decision in the best interest of the fans and the football team to have the greatest opportunity for success in the play-offs.

The Argonauts organization continually strives to create great entertainment value for its fan-base. It has listened to feedback from its fans regarding last night's game and will continue to welcome feedback. As a result, the Argonauts are extending a special thank you to these fans. A proof of purchase and/or a ticket stub from last night's game can be redeemed after the 2004 season for a comparable ticket to any regular season Argo game for the 2005 season once the 2005 schedule is announced.

"As an organization, we were put into a difficult position because of our schedule (the worst in the league) and the resulting health of our football team. After making the play-offs and earning home-field advantage, we made the decision to give our fans and football team the best possible chance to have success in the play-offs. We think that with record attendance and the best on-field record in seven years, our fans deserve the best opportunity we can give them in the post-season. Make no mistake, I love our fans and I try to do my best for them at all times," remarked Toronto Argonauts Head Coach Michael Clemons.

Fans wishing to redeem their ticket stubs for next season can do so by contacting an Argonauts representative at (416) 341-ARGO after the 2005 schedule is announced.

The Toronto Argonauts next face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Semi-Final match on Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the SkyDome.
