BOISE, Idaho - Patrick Kivlehan lined a two-run double to break a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning, helping the Everett Aquasox rally for a 6-4 victory over the Boise Hawks at Memorial Stadium.
Everett trailed 2-0 heading into the seventh, but tied it on a two-run Alfredo Morales homer. The Aquasox would get infield singles from Jamodrick McGruder and Dario Pizzano to start the eighth, with Taylor Ard walking to load the bases. Kivlehan followed with the double to the left-center gap to give the Frogs the lead. Janelfry Zorrilla would single in a run, with a fourth run in the frame scoring on a balk.
It was enough for Steven Ewing, as the Miami product tossed seven-plus innings of two run ball for his fourth win.
The loss spoiled a fine start by Boise starter Felix Pena, who recorded five shutout innings, allowing just four hits. Stephen Bruno was one of four Hawks with two-hit games, extending his hitting streak to 21 games, upping his league leading batting average to .359.
