PASCO, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox were unable to hold two early leads and committed two crucial errors, which led directly to three unearned runs. Everett managed just one baserunner after the third inning, and at one stretch had 18 consecutive batters retired in a 6-4 loss to Tri-City in the opening game of a three-game series at Gesa Stadium.

The AquaSox have lost five of their last six games and have lost five straight in the season series to Tri-City. The AquaSox are also winless at Gesa Stadium (0-4).

Everett scored three runs in the second inning to go up 3-1 on RBI singles from Geoandry Montilla, Jansiel Rivera, and Josh Stowers.

The AquaSox took a 4-3 lead in the top of the third on a two-out RBI single by Matt Sanders. In the bottom of the third, Justin Paulsen walked and later scored from second on a wild pickoff throw by AquaSox catcher Cal Raleigh.
