
AppleSox Shut out by Elks

BEND, Ore. - The Wenatchee AppleSox' (20-25, 9-10 second half) four-game winning streak came to an end with an 8-0 loss to the Bend Elks on Sunday afternoon at Vince Genna Stadium.
The AppleSox did not collect their first sweep of the season but did still capture their third consecutive series victory. They were shut out for the fourth time this season.
Left fielder Isaac Barrea recorded his second consecutive multi-hit game with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate with a double and a single.
The Elks snapped their 13-game losing streak by scoring twice in the second inning, four times in the fourth inning and twice in the seventh. They had not lead at all in either of the first two games of the series, but never trailed once getting on the board on Sunday.
Following an off-day on Monday, the AppleSox are back at home on Tuesday with their final homestand of the season. The six-game stretch begins with three against the Port Angeles Lefties, starting on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
