AppleSox Announce 2014 Schedule

(Wenatchee, WA)- The fifteenth season of Wenatchee AppleSox baseball will begin at home on June 4th with a two-game series against the San Francisco Seals. The AppleSox will play a 59-game schedule in 2014 that includes 32 homes games.
"We are thrilled to have another great schedule in 2014," said AppleSox owner/general manager Jim Corcoran. "Between a full slate of league games and hosting four non-league opponents throughout the season, it'll be another exciting summer at Paul Thomas Sr. Field."
With the addition of the expansion franchise in Yakima, there will be twelve teams in the West Coast League this summer. The WCL has re-aligned the league's divisions, moving from two to three heading into the 2014 season. Wenatchee is in the east division along with the Kelowna Falcons, Walla Walla Sweets, and the Yakima Valley Pippins. The west division includes the Bellingham Bells, Cowlitz Black Bears, Kitsap BlueJackets, and Victoria HarbourCats. The south division features the Bend Elks, Corvallis Knights, Klamath Falls Gems, and Medford Rogues. The playoff format will feature the three division champions plus a wild card - the team which has the best record of all the remaining non-division winners at the conclusion of the season.
The AppleSox will play five non-league games outside of WCL play. Wenatchee will host the San Francisco Seals, Everett Merchants, Northwest Honkers, and Northwest Star Academy College Prep.
