Anthony and Vonk Return to Riders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that non-import receiver Alex Anthony and non-import offensive lineman Matt Vonk have both re-signed with the team. Financial details of the contracts were not released.

Anthony (6'2 - 205) will return to the Green and White for his second season. The 22-year-old played one regular season game in 2013 registering two receptions for 13 yards. He spent the remainder of the season on the teams practice roster.

The Wilfrid Laurier product was originally picked in the 5th round (39th overall) in last season's CFL Draft. Through four collegiate seasons he had collected 47 receptions for 722 yards and seven touchdowns.

Vonk (6'4 - 285) was selected in the 5th round (38th overall) out of the University of Waterloo in the 2013 CFL Draft. Last year, the Burlington, ON native attended training camp with the Riders and remained on the practice roster through July before returning to school for his final season of eligibility.
