Another Solid Defenseman Added To Blueline

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics are proud to announce the signing of another solid player, Defenseman, Chris Bogas.

Bogas, 28, a former Spartan will be entering his seventh professional season having spent time in the American Hockey League (AHL), the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), the International Hockey League (IHL) and overseas in Italy.

During the 2004-05 season Bogas spent time with both the Dayton Bombers and Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL, compiling 20 assists (a), 26 points (pts) and 46 penalty minutes (PIM). His best season to date came in 2001-02 when he played for the Jasckson Bandits of the ECHL. Bogas played in 69 games compiling career highs in assists (32), points (36), and penalty minutes (78).

"Chris is a well rounded defenseman, he does everything to help his team win," said Mechanics Head Coach, Danton Cole. "He's a solid veteran player who will help this team tremendously."

The Mechanics now have two players signed for the 2005-06 season. Kevin Hansen was the first player to sign and is the first returning player from the 2004-005 roster.

The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and come join the Mechanics when they open up at home against the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 28th.
