PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers have signed one of their own free agents for the 2007 season, head coach Gene Nudo announced today.
Kicker Gary Kral (5' 9", 190) will spend another season wearing black and teal. This will be Kral's fifth season in the AFL and his third with Arizona.
"We feel he is among the elite kickers in the league," said Nudo. "We are very excited to have him back."
Kral began his AFL career with the Buffalo Destroyers in 2003. In 2004 Kral played for the New York Dragons where he connected on 50% of his field goals (6-of-12) and 23-of-32 PAT's. Kral also spent time with the Nashville Kats prior to joining the Rattlers.
Last season Kral went 10-of-28 on his field goals and 88-of-103 on extra point attempts. His longest field goal was 54 yards.
Kral is a graduate of Pittsburg (Kan.) State University where he earned first-team- All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Honors after kicking a 51-yard game winner verses Central Missouri State University in 2000.
The Rattlers will kick off their 16th season in 2007. Rattlers season tickets can be purchased by calling 602-514-8383.
