Storm re-sign Elpheage and add Walker

TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm have re-signed wide receiver/defensive back Lynarise Elpheage and signed free agent wide receiver JoJo Walker today, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced.

Elpheage, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound wide receiver/defensive back, returns to the Storm after increasing his production on both sides of the ball in 2006. He set career highs in every offensive category with 43 receptions for 455 yards, 10 touchdowns and 237 return yards.

Defensively he set career highs with 70 tackles, three interceptions and 11 pass break-ups. He received Defensive Player of the Game honors in Week 3 against the Georgia Force and Week 12 against the Austin Wranglers. He was also named Ironman of the Game in Week 7 against the New York Dragons.

Walker, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound wide receiver, is an Arena Football League rookie out of the University of Maryland (2002-2006). He is regarded as a speedy receiver who also has experience returning kicks and punts. He finished third on the team in receptions his senior year behind San Francisco 49er tight end Vernon Davis. Walker finished his career at Maryland with 76 receptions for 988 yards and seven touchdowns. He also returned 49 kickoffs for 1081 yards and 35 punt returns for 261 yards in his college career.
