Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- Sunday night, the Continental Basketball Association announced that Stais Boseman will be on the Eastern Conference All-Star squad. Boseman replaces Michigan's Darrick Martin, who currently is on a call-up with the Los Angeles Clippers. Boseman joins Head Coach Chris Daleo and teammate Marshall Phillips on the East's roster for the game on January 19th.

This is the second straight All-Star Classic appearance for Boseman. Last season as a member of the Great Lakes Storm, Boseman scored four points and grabbed two rebounds in 13 minutes of action in the American Conference's 105-103 loss in Yakima. This season, Boseman currently leads the team, and is fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 20.7 points per game. Stais has been Rockford's leading scorer in the last three contests, scoring 27 points against Gary on January 12, 33 points against Idaho on January 14, and 25 points against Idaho on January 15.

"I'm happy for Stais, I think that he and Jemeil (Rich) will lead our Eastern Conference team to victory," says Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo. The 21st Annual CBA All-Star Classic is slated for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 19th, at the Genesis Center in Gary.

Rockford's first home contest after the All-Star break takes place on Tuesday, January 25. The Bolts host Eastern Conference rival Great Lakes, as they try to overtake the Storm for first in the conference. Tip-off time is slated for 7:05 p.m., with the Stephen Mack Middle School dance team performing at halftime. To order your tickets, call the MetroCentre box office at 815-968-5222.
