Kenosha, Wis. - The Kenosha Kingfish announce that Callahan Brown, right-handed pitcher from the University of Connecticut, will be back in Kenosha again next season.
Brown, a 6'4", 213-pound junior from Jupiter, Florida will return for his second season. In 2014, Brown finished the season 3-1 with a 4.00 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched.
In 2014, during his sophomore season at the University of Connecticut, Brown posted a 5.02 ERA in 14.1 innings with eight strikeouts. He was named to the 2013-2014 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Brown spent his freshman year at Mississippi State University.
The Kingfish will host a First Pitch event this Saturday, March 28th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Lynch Chevrolet Kenosha located at 10901 75th Street. At this event the Kingfish will be announcing ballpark improvements at Historic Simmons Field for the 2015 season. The Kingfish will also unveil the 2015 roster, promotions and the 7-game package referral program. This family friendly event will include ballpark food and soda and will be open to the public, free of charge. 7-Game Packs can be purchased at the event as the Kingfish sales staff will be on-hand to assist fans and answer questions.
The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:05 pm as they take on the St. Cloud Rox. Kingfish single-game tickets will go on-sale on Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 am.
