MANCHESTER, NH - The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Manchester Monarchs, will hold their annual Monarchs Care Golf Invitational on Monday, October 8 at Plausawa Valley Country Club in Pembroke, New Hampshire.

The Monarchs Care Golf Invitational annually brings together the Monarchs team and the fans. Proceeds from the event benefit the Monarchs Care Foundation and assists in the donation of merchandise, tickets and grants to the community.

"We are delighted to give our fans the opportunity to meet our 2007-08 Monarchs team early in the season," Monarchs Senior Vice President Cheryl Abbott said. "This annual tournament continues to grow and is a wonderful time for our team to meet our fans and start the season off right."

Head Coach Mark Morris, Assistant Coach Scott Pellerin and Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough will join the training staff and team for a day on the golf course with fans and friends. All foursomes will be teamed with a Monarchs player or member of the coaching staff. Foursomes are limited and the registration fee includes the green fee, carts, a continental breakfast, a dinner buffet as well as snacks and beverages on the course.

Registration forms are available online at www.monarchshockey.com. The shotgun starts kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with the dinner buffet, awards, raffle and auction following the tournament.
