
Annual Knights Fest Set for Saturday, March 30

(Fort Mill, SC) - Knights Stadium, home of the Charlotte Knights since 1990, will officially open its doors for the first time in 2013 on Saturday, March 30 for the team's annual Knights Fest. Saturday's festivities, which include National Anthem auditions, fan batting practice in the team's batting cages, guided tours of the stadium, and a Media Softball game, will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free.
During Knights Fest, fans will have exclusive access to Knights Stadium and will be able to get an up-close look at the 24-year-old historic ballpark. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., fans will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the clubhouses, Budweiser Brewhouse, Skybox suites, press box, and more.
At 12:00 p.m., local media members from TV, print, and radio, will take part in a celebrity "Rock N Jock" style softball game on the field at Knights Stadium. Fans are welcome to sit in the seating bowl and watch as the local media members play a three-inning game. Seats are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Cheering is acceptable!
During the game, the Knights Stadium entertainment department will give fans a taste of some of the new on-field contests they can expect throughout the final season at Knights Stadium. Kids will also be able to enjoy inflatable games and the Knights Carousel.

The Knights Stadium Box Office will be open for fans interested in picking up tickets to any game during the upcoming season. Tickets for all 72 home games, as well as season tickets and mini-plans, are currently on-sale.
The Charlotte Knights kick-off their 24th and final season at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill on Thursday, April 11 at 7:15 p.m. against the Gwinnett Braves. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. on Opening Day and the game features Thirsty Thursday ¢ presented by Hickory Tavern with $2 beers and $1 sodas.
