Annual Curve Fanfest Event Set for Tuesday, April 1st

ALTOONA- All Altoona Curve fans are invited to attend Curve FanFest 2008 on Tuesday, April 1st from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at The Casino at Lakemont in Altoona. This event serves as the first opportunity for fans to meet the players and coaches who will make up the Altoona Curve's 2008 Opening Day roster, while also celebrating the start of the upcoming season with fellow Curve fans. FanFest 2008 is spearheaded by the Altoona Curve Booster Club.
Doors will open at 5:30 and the event will begin with music, a mini-Silent Auction of Curve memorabilia, Curve merchandise and ticket information tables and fan raffles. At 6:00, the members of the 2008 Altoona Curve will be formally introduced, followed by a team autograph session from 6:30-7:30. Food and drinks will be served throughout the night, consisting of mini-burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, pretzels, soda, water and a cash bar.
Tickets for the April 1st event cost $11 for Curve Booster Club members, $13 for non-members, $6 for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 and is free for children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Blair County Ballpark Main Office or over the phone by calling (814) 943-5400.
