Reading Fightin Phils News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Phillies have announced that the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has approved the sale of wine and spirits in the club's premium group areas for the 2008 season.

The team has partnered with Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery to serve three varieties of wine - Concord (dark), Vidal Blanc (white) and Cabernet Sauvignon (red). Clover Hill, located in the Lehigh Valley, is a popular Pennsylvania brand with satellite retail locations in Berks, Lehigh and Montgomery Counties.

Also available in the premium group areas will be Absolut Vodka in addition to brand name rum, whiskey, bourbon and gin. Fans will have a choice of eight different mixers.

Wine and spirits will be available exclusively to fans 21 and older in the team's premium group areas. The premium group areas include the Reading Eagle Pool Picnic, the Fairgrounds Square Mall Third Base Picnic Area, Coors Light Deck Picnic Area, the Rock Hits Y-102 Power Alley Pub and the Chick-fil-A Fowl Porch.

Wine and spirit service at the Pool, 3B Picnic Area and Power Alley Pub will be conducted from the bars that already exist in those locations. The Deck Picnic Area and Fowl Porch will be served by the wait staff.

Wine and spirits are only available in the areas mentioned. Each of the areas that serve wine and spirits also features a two-and-a-half hour buffet and several other benefits for groups. Fans interested in booking one of the Phillies group areas can obtain more information by calling the team at 610-375-8469 or in the "Group Experiences" section of readingphillies.com.

In addition, any non-athletic events at FirstEnergy Stadium, such as concerts, will now include wine and spirits served throughout the entire ballpark, not just in the group areas.
