Angels Recall Morales, Option Bulger to Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY (April 20, 2008) - The Angels announced today that the club has recalled infielder Kendry Morales and optioned right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger to triple-A Salt Lake. The announcement was made by club General Manager Tony Reagins.

Morales, 24, has appeared in 16 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .278 with three doubles and 16 RBI. A native of Cuba, Morales hit .294 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 43 games for the Angels in 2007.

Bulger, 29, pitched in five games for the Halos in 2008, owning a 7.94 ERA with six strike outs. A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., the right-hander tossed in 49 games for the Bees in 2007 and was 5-2 with a 3.76 ERA (52.2 IP, 51 H, 24 R, 22 ER, 4 HR, 81 SO, 1 BK). His contract was then selected by the Angels on September 1 and he finished the year 0-0 with a 2.84 ERA (6.1 IP, 2 ER) in six games.
