
Andy Moog Announces Retirement, Brendan Burke Promoted

Goaltending Coach Andy Moog has announced his retirement after spending the last seven seasons with the Portland Winterhawks.
Moog, 63, was an integral part of the team's success between the pipes since joining the Winterhawks staff prior to the 2016-17 campaign.
The Winterhawks would like to thank Moog for his dedication to the Winterhawks through the years and the countless hours he put toward the development of young hockey players. Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement!
In a corresponding move, the Winterhawks have announced the promotion of alumnus Brendan Burke to head goaltending coach. Burke joined Portland's staff prior to the 2022-23 season as an assistant goaltending coach and worked closely with Dante Giannuzzi and Jan Špunar, as well as several Winterhawks goaltending prospects.
