Andrew Harris Earns Second Consecutive Weekly Award, Arceneaux Hauls in First

(Vancouver) In the wake of their 41-5 steamrolling of the Montreal Alouettes last Saturday, the BC Lions are pleased to announce that running back Andrew Harris has earned his second consecutive Canadian Player of the Week honour and receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux has hauled in Offensive Player of the Week kudos.

Harris, who was dominant in Week 3 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders piled up another 150 yards from scrimmage against the Als including 72 rushing yards on 12 carries and 78 receiving yards on four receptions including a 13-yard TD from quarterback John Beck. Through four games, Harris is the CFL's leading rusher with 273 yards and the league's top offensive producer with 518 yards from scrimmage.

Arceneaux was a terror in the Montreal secondary racking up 145 yards and three majors on the way to his ninth 100-yard performance and the fourth-highest yardage total of his career. Among his trifecta of touchdowns on the afternoon was a highlight reel grab from 35 yards out courtesy of pivot Kevin Glenn.

The next BC Lions home game is Friday, July 25 versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at 7:00 pm presented by TELUS.
