(Windsor) Spitfires overage goaltender Andrew Engelage is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, January 4th. Engelage posted a 1.66 goals against average, .946 save percentage and one shutout in leading the Spitfires to a perfect 3-0 record last week.

Engelage made 37 saves and recorded a shutout as he was named the second star of Windsor's 1-0 win over the Plymouth Whalers on December 31st. He followed this up with a 28-save performance in Windsor's 3-2 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on January 3rd before finishing the week with a 23-save performance in the Spitfires' 6-3 win over the Brampton Battalion on January 4th.

The 20 year-old native of Oshawa, ON has enjoyed an outstanding season between the pipes, leading the OHL in wins (29) and shutouts (5). Engelage is also ranked third in the league in goals against average (2.30).
