
Andressinha Named to Brazil Women's National Team Roster for 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup

RTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC midfielder Andressinha has been named to the 23-player Brazil Women's National Team roster for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, it was announced today. The roster will not become official until it is submitted to FIFA on May 24, which is the deadline for all teams to submit their final squads.
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup will be Andressinha's second World Cup with Brazil. Andressinha, 24, made her World Cup debut in 2015, appearing in all four matches as she helped lead Brazil to the quarterfinal round of the tournament. At the international level, Andressinha has earned 42 caps, tallying 10 goals. Playing in her second campaign with Thorns FC in 2019, Andressinha made her season debut on May 11 against Orlando, scoring the game-winning goal - the first of her career with Portland.
Playing in Group C, Brazil opens group play against Jamaica on June 9 at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble; kickoff is set for 6:30 a.m. (Pacific). Brazil takes on Australia in its second group match on June 13 in Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson at 9 a.m. (Pacific) and concludes group action on June 18 against Italy at Stade Du Hainaut in Valenciennes; kickoff is set for 12 noon (Pacific). The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup runs from June 7-July 7 and all 52 games will be shown live on FOX, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2 and on tablets and mobile devices through the FOX Sports app.
