Minnesota Wilderness News Release

It's hard to ask for a much better start for a junior hockey goaltender than what Ryan Anderson has had so far for the Minnesota Wilderness. In his second NAHL game Thursday night, Anderson posted his second straight shutout, leading Minnesota to a 1-0 nail-biter victory over the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minn.

Dan Litchke scored the game's only goal, at 12:28 of the first period, with Tyler Cline and Jack Forbort assisting.

Anderson then took over, keeping the net empty. He stopped all 20 Corpus Christi shots, 12 of which he turned away in the third period. The Ice Rays outshot the Wilderness, 20-14.

Anderson made 15 saves in Wednesday's season-opener, a 6-0 victory over Rio Grande Valley.

The Wilderness (2-0) play their third showcase game Friday at 1:15 p.m. vs the Wichita Falls Wildcats.
