Anaheim Arsenal Trample Idaho Stampede

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2008) - The Anaheim Arsenal defeated the Idaho Stampede 97-82 in front of an excited home crowd at the Anaheim Convention Center. After dropping the first two games of the season at Idaho, the Arsenal protected their home floor with an outstanding performance by James White and the Arsenal defense.

White sank a three pointer early in the first quarter to put the Arsenal up for good. From there, the Arsenal offense was able to expand the lead to 19 points thanks to the contributions of James and a few familiar faces.

The crowd cheered as Marcus Campbell and Kedrick Brown's names were announced during the starting lineups. Both players are returning to the Arsenal from the 2007-2008 season. Campbell collected 12 points and led the team with 13 rebounds as the Arsenal controlled the boards. Brown came off the bench to score 9 points and collect a pivotal steal in the Arsenal win.

James White, the adidas Player of the Game, ended with 28 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Ernest Scott led the Stampede with 19 points while Jermareo Davidson collected 13 rebounds.

The Arsenal and Stampede face off again this Saturday, December 20 at 6:00 p.m. Anaheim seeks to even the season series at two a piece.
