Anaheim Arsenal Drafts Ex-Laker Tierre Brown in First Round

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 10, 2008) - The Anaheim Arsenal selected former Los Angeles Laker Tierre Brown in the first round of the 2008 NBA Development League draft.

Brown, the 8th overall pick, has appeared in 133 NBA games, spending time with the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Hornets, and Los Angeles Lakers. He played in 76 games with the Lakers during the 2004-05 NBA season. The 6'2" point guard was the 2004 NBA Development League MVP and later won the 2006 league championship with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds.

Brown is one of 10 draft picks who will join three returning players, three allocation players, and one local tryout for Arsenal training camp, which begins November 14. The following is the list of 17 to make the training camp roster:

Coaches must cut the opening day roster down to 10 players on Wednesday, Nov. 26 as the 2008-09 NBA D-League regular season tips off on Friday, Nov. 28.
