December 26, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans want to remind fans that the Amerks' home game versus the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, Dec. 28 will be played at First Niagara Center in Buffalo at 7:05 p.m. With more than 17,000 tickets already sold for Friday's game, the Amerks are on pace to break the franchise record for largest crowd at a home game.

The current Amerks record for largest crowd is 17,898, which was set on Dec. 28, 2004 when the Amerks defeated the Edmonton Roadrunners at the then-HSBC Arena in Buffalo.

Currently, only tickets in the 300 Level remain for Friday's game, and are available for $15 apiece at the First Niagara Center Box Office, online at www.tickets.com or by phone at 1-888-223-6000. There is also a Family Pack available, where fans can purchase four 300 Level tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four popcorns for just $79.

Those who had already purchased tickets to the Dec. 28 game prior to it being moved to Buffalo will not face an additional charge. In the event a ticket holder is unable to attend the Dec. 28 game at First Niagara Center, they will be able to redeem that ticket for an additional ticket to a future Amerks home game this season or can receive a refund for the Dec. 28 game.

The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel in both Rochester and Buffalo (Rochester channel 26 and 1026-HD; Buffalo area channel 52, City of Buffalo channel 25; Buffalo HD channel 713) as Amerks Hall of Fame broadcaster Don Stevens, former Sabre Ric Seiling and 13 WHAM Sports Director Mike Catalana will call the action.

The Amerks return from a brief holiday break to host the Lake Erie Monsters tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 26) at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:05 p.m. For tickets, visit www.amerks.com or call 1-855-GO-AMERKS.
