Amerks Sign Hart and Prapavessis to ATO Contracts

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed forward Jayden Hart defenseman Matt Prapavessis to Amateur Tryout (ATO) contracts.

Hart, 20, recently completed his junior career with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL), recording a career-high 49 points (22+27) and 94 penalty minutes in 59 games to rank third on the team in scoring. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Spruce Grove, Alberta, appeared in 238 career WHL games with Prince Albert and Medicine Hat over parts of five seasons, recording 154 points (63+91) and 261 penalty minutes.

Prapavessis, 23, recently completed his collegiate career at Bemidji State University, recording 24 points (9+15) and eight penalty minutes in 38 games this season to lead the team and rank third among all WCHA defensemen in scoring while serving as a team captain. He also earned All-WCHA Second Team honors. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound native of Oakville, Ontario, played in 150 career games with Bemidji State over four seasons, recording 70 points (17+53) and 63 penalty minutes.
