
Amerks Sign Forward Michael Pelech to PTO

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed forward Michael Pelech to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.
Pelech, 25, has appeared in 56 games with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies this season, recording 59 points (25+34) and 109 penalty minutes to lead the team in scoring and rank sixth in the league. In 374 career ECHL games with Ontario, Toledo, Cincinnati and Utah, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Pelech has recorded 277 points (86+191) and 649 penalty minutes. Pelech has also played in 24 career AHL games over parts of three seasons. The native of Toronto, Ontario, was originally selected in the sixth round (156th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He is the brother of Amerks defenseman Matt Pelech.
