Stockton AHL Name to be Announced on Wednesday

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton AHL franchise, owned by the Calgary Flames, announce that the final name of the AHL franchise along with the logo and jersey will be revealed on Wednesday, March 11 at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel during the Stockton Thunder watch party.
Fans are invited to the hotel during the Thunder and Ontario Reign game set to begin at 7:00 p.m. The announcement and reveal will take place during the first intermission. The five finalist names from the "Name the AHL Team" contest were the Stockton Blaze, Stockton Fire, Stockton Heat, Stockton Inferno or the Stockton Scorch.
With multiple entries for each of the names, a total of 10 finalist names will be chosen at random and after the name is revealed, a winning fan will again be randomly selected from a hat, winning a pair of season tickets and one of the brand new AHL jerseys. Additional raffles will follow during the watch party with fans in attendance having a chance to win one of the Calgary Flames "Stockton" jerseys, Stockton AHL t-shirts, and Thunder gear.
The University Plaza Waterfront Hotel will be offering a Tri-tip buffet for $14.99 and $3 domestic draft beers and $4 import drafts to go along with other delicious menu items and drinks.
