Amerks Fan Appreciation Night to be Held Friday, April 13

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team will hold Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 13 when the Amerks host the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m. in their final regular season home game.

The night will include the presentation of the 2011-12 team awards, great prizes for fans, an Amerks team photo handout, an autographed jersey giveaway for select fans and both pregame and postgame parties.

The Fan Appreciation Night festivities kick off with an Amerks Happy Hour from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Atrium Bar, where fans ages 21 and over can enjoy Molson and Coors Light drafts for just $2. There will also be live music by Dave McGrath. Friday's game will also be the final $5 Parking Night in the Civic Center Garage, courtesy of Mapco Auto Parks, Limited, which represents a $2.50 savings off the regular cost of $7.50.

Prior to the game, the Amerks 2011-12 Team Awards will be presented, including the Ricoh USA Most Valuable Player, AT&T Most Improved Player, Rob Zabelny Unsung Hero and the Fairand/O'Neil Sportsmanship Award. The winner of the Amerks "7th Man - Fan of the Year" contest will also be recognized on Fan Appreciation Night. Winners of the Amerks Booster Club Awards, such as Rookie of the Year and Most Popular Player, will also be announced.

During the game, the team will announce the winners of the autographed jersey giveaway. Each player will autograph a replica jersey of his and present it to a winning fan on the ice following the game. After the jersey presentations, fans can head back to the Upper Atrium Bar for a postgame party featuring food and drink specials, as well as live music from the band "Doghouse."

Other prizes to be given away during the game will include a signed Thomas Vanek Buffalo Sabres jersey, a Ryan Miller signed Sabres goalie stick, an Amerks team-signed jersey and stick, and Amerks 2012-13 Season Tickets for the winner of that night's "Star Toss" competition. There will also be prize packs from Amerks sponsors such as the Radisson Riverside Rochester Hotel, Zweigle's, Yancey's Fancy, Molson, Coors Light, Isaac Heating and Air Conditioning, Toyota and Diamonds Limousine. In addition, there will be select rows where each fan can win a prize from sponsors like Buckmans Car Wash, The Distillery, Taco Bell, Tim Hortons and Tops Friendly Markets.
