
Americans Sign Young Defenseman Nikkel

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans announced today that the club has added another young defenseman to the D-core with the signing of Ayrton Nikkel for the upcoming season.
Ayrton Nikkel, a 6'2, 195 pound blue-liner will make his professional debut with the Americans this season. The native of Kelowna, BC, has spent the last four seasons in the Western Hockey League with stops in Saskatoon, Brandon, Everett and Swift Current. In 240 games in the WHL, he has 10 goals and 45 points with 389 penalty minutes.
"Ayrton is a tough aggressive defenseman who will fit well in our lineup," said Allen Americans Head Coach and General Manager Steve Martinson.
