Americans Sign Two Goaltender Brown and Enforcer Klotz

Allen, Texas -The Allen Americans made a roster move today signing goalie David Brown to a contract for the 2013-2014 season.

Brown, a 6'0, 190 pound goaltender from Stoney Brook, Ontario signed with Allen after being released by the Arizona Sundogs. In 31 games for Arizona last season, Brown had a record of 15 wins and 15 losses and one overtime loss with goals against average of 2.69 and a .910 save percentage.

Garret Klotz joins Allen after spending last season with Fort Wayne of the ECHL. Klotz is a 6'6, 250 pound enforcer who had 98 penalty minutes in 35 games last season for the Komets. He played his junior hockey with both Red Deer and Saskatoon of the Western Hockey League, and was a third round draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2007 NHL entry draft.

Both players will join the Americans on the road trip this weekend to St Charles and Tulsa. The Americans play three games in three nights beginning on Friday with first ever meeting against the St Charles Chill.

With the signing of David Brown, the Americans release goalie Brad Fogal on Monday. The Americans next home game is on Wednesday November 39th against the Tulsa Oilers.
