Americans Move up Start Time of New Years Eve Game to 6:05 pm

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and Wichita Thunder announced today that the New Years Eve game in Allen has been moved to a 6:05 pm CST start time.
The Central Hockey League game had been originally set for 7:05 pm but the teams agreed to move the start time up an hour to give fans, arena staff and teams more time to get ready for New Years Eve events.
"This was something we've talked about the last couple seasons," said Americans Team President Matt Canavan. "Many of our fans had expressed a desire to have the game earlier so they could attend our game as well as get ready for New Years Eve functions. This also gives Wichita a jump on returning home a little earlier."
This is the second time the Americans have faced the Thunder on New Year's Eve. Allen played in Wichita on December, 31st of 2009.
