The Americans and Cougars meet tonight for the fourth and final time this season. Tri-City leads the season series so far with two victories.
Jake Sloan leads scoring against the Cougars with three goals and one assist. Prince George's Ethan Samson also has four points (one goal and three assists) against the Americans this season. Each Nick Avakyan and Tomas Suchanek have recorded one win this season against Prince George.
Both teams have struggled on the power play in their three prior meetings. With a man-advantage, Tri-City is 3/17 and Prince George is 2/15 head-to-head.
Both teams come into tonight's game looking to get back in the win column. Tri-City is on a three game losing streak and Prince George is on a four game losing streak.
The Americans wrapped up a three-in-three weekend on Sunday in Portland. Tri-City struggled to get their offense rolling and suffered an 8-0 shutout loss to the Winterhawks. Nick Avakyan started in net for the Americans. The rookie goaltender turned aside 22 of 29 shots faced before being relieved in net by Tomas Suchanek for the third period. Suchanek stopped 10 of 11 shots faced.
