Americans Clinch Top Seed and Governors' Cup

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans clinched their second Governors' Cup Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 win over the Tulsa Oilers, and begin playoff action this Thursday night at home.
Allen will open the first round of the playoffs against the 8th seeded Denver Cutthroats in a best of seven series, with the Americans earning home-ice throughout the playoffs.
Games 1 and 2 will be at Allen Event Center on Thursday, March 28th and Friday, March 29th with both games starting at 7:05 pm. Games 3 and 4 will shift to Denver on Sunday, March 31st at 4:05 pm, and Monday, April 1st at 7:05 pm..
Game 5, if necessary, would be back to Allen on Saturday, April 6th at 7:05 pm.
Game 6 in Denver on Tuesday, April 9th at 7:05 pm, if necessary, and Game 7 scheduled for Allen Event Center on Thursday, April 11th at 7:05 pm, if needed.
