Allen Americans Playoffs MVP Greger Hanson

Allen, Texas - The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champions added top-line skill today, announcing that the team has signed forward Greger Hanson to a contract for the 2015-2016 season.
"Greger exemplifies the style we play," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. He scores big goals, he's skilled and physical, and forechecks with speed and tenacity."
Greger Hanson has been a big part of the Allen Americans last two championships, one in the former Central Hockey League, and last season in the ECHL. Hanson had 29 points in 25 post-season games last season for Allen, helping to lead the Americans to a Kelly Cup title in seven games over the South Carolina Stingrays, while winning the playoffs MVP award.
"I'm excited to be back for another year on a championship contending team, playing in front of the best fans in the ECHL", said Hanson. "Coach Martinson has been huge for my development as a player the last two seasons, and I expect that to continue."
Hanson will be back for his third season in Allen. He has 113 points in 104 regular season games with the Americans. The native of Lidingo, Sweden, will begin his 4th season as a pro this October, as the Americans look for their second straight Kelly Cup and their 4th AA championship in a row. Hanson was reacquired by the Americans last October from Cincinnati in exchange for Geoff Irwin.
The Americans open the regular season on Friday, October 16th at home against the Quad City Mallards. Season Tickets are on sale NOW at www.ticketmaster.com or call 972-912-1000.
The Americans will host a Select-A-Seat Event this Saturday at the Allen Americans Team Store from10am-2pm, with a Q&A with Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson from 12-12:30.
