
Americans Announce Roster

Allen Americans News Release
ALLEN, Texas- The Central Hockey League's Allen Americans will host their Metroplex rival Texas Brahmas Friday and Saturday night at the Allen Event Center. The pair of games will be the first two of the 2010-11 season for both clubs, who both participated in the playoffs last year.
The Americans won the Southern Conference for 2009-10, before eventually falling in six games to the Rapid City Rush in the Ray Miron Cup Finals.
The Brahmas finished fourth in the regular season, and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Odessa Jackalopes.
Puck drop on Friday night is scheduled for 7:30, while Saturday night will be at 7:00.
NOTES:
-The Americans have waived defenseman Danny Ehrman and winger Bobby Bolt. Both players played in both preseason contests for the club.
- Dave Bonk has been recalled by the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL.
-Defenseman Mike Berube, son of former NHL'er Craig Berube, has signed with Allen. Berube played last season with Charlotte of the ECHL, and Hartford of the AHL.
Friday night will feature musical guest The Fog prior to the game outside of the arena. During the first intermission the new Americans mascot will be unveiled for the first time.
Saturday Petty Theft, featuring Mike Rhyner of sportsradio 1310 AM The Ticket, will perform prior to the game outside of the arena. Downbeat is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
Saturday night is also Pink in the Rink night at the Allen Event Center. Fans are encouraged to wear pink, and bring their Yoplait yogurt lids to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
