El Paso 7, Fort Worth 2

In front of a Kids' Day crowd of 9,205, RF Carlos Sepulveda and 1B Juan Camacho each had two hits in leading the Diablos to victory over the Fort Worth Cats. Sepulveda was 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI, while Camacho was 2-4 with a run scored. El Paso starting pitcher Jason Weidmeyer got his second win of the season going seven innings giving up only one earned run on five hits while striking out three. Fort Worth was led today by 1B Jordan Foster who went 1-3 and scoring the Cats' only run. Cats' starter Kevin Hull went four innings surrendering five runs, three earned, on six hits in the loss.

St. Paul 7, St. Joe 2

The Saints scored a total of seven runs off of thirteen hits with 8 of 9 players getting at least one hit in the game. It was close for two innings with St. Paul leading by one run after the first inning, but St. Paul broke through in the third inning, scoring 5 runs. DH Adam Olow and CF Robert Fischer each went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI's. One of St. Joe's stars was 3B Ben Thomas who doubled in the top of the sixth inning and scored the Snakes' first of two runs of the night on SS Denver Kitch's single up the RF line.

Shreveport 5, Lincoln 0

The two teams combined to leave 18 runners on base, but Shreveport managed come out on top with a 5-0 victory. The Sports' defense stepped up and forced the Saltdogs to leave 8 men on base in seven innings, and a total of 9 runners LOB for the game. To back up their defense the Sports were led by LF Al Corbeil who went 3-for-4, and Justin Humphries who went 2-for-4 with a 2 run triple.

Sioux City 7, Sioux Falls 1

Sioux City pitcher Tom Lipari pitched a strong game, only allowing five hits and one run in 7.2 innings. The Explorers' offense worked off of their pitcher's strong outing by scoring seven runs on nine hits. 1B Dan Meier of the Explorers had the game's only home run and drove in three runs as well. The Canaries' lone run came in the eighth inning by 2B Ralph Santana on CF Edgard Clemente's RBI single.

Coastal Bend 7, Pensacola 2

Coastal Bend starter Derrick Van Dusen had a solid outing for his first win of the season, giving up one earned run on five hits, striking out five, as the Aviators stayed hot, defeating Pensacola 7-2 for their sixth straight victory. Coastal Bend got four in the first, tacked on another in the fourth and two more in the fifth on 2B Matt Creighton's two-run home run. Creighton finished the evening 2-for-5 on the evening, while C Jeff Ontiveros went 3-for-5 with a double. SS Carlos Mendoza went 2-for-3 with a double for the Pelicans.
