Fort Worth 5, Grand Prairie 3
3B Jose Duran went 3-for-4 and drove in the go-ahead run for Fort Worth as the Cats topped the AirHogs 5-3. Grand Prairie, led by LF Daniel Berg's three-hit effort, outhit Fort Worth 12-9, but couldn't hold their late lead. 2B Antoin Gray and 3B Greg Porter each had two-hit nights for the AirHogs in the loss. RHP Robert Romero picked up the win by throwing a scoreless eighth inning.
St. Paul 13, Lincoln 5
CF Josh Burrus enjoyed a huge 3-for-4 night, driving in four runs and swatting his third home run on the season as St. Paul used a six-run eighth inning to secure a 13-5 win over Lincoln. DH Argelis Nunez went 2-for-4 with his 19th home run and two RBI for the Saltdogs in the losing effort, and LHP Ryan Morse picked up the victory for the Saints. LF Josh Alley reached base four times for St. Paul
Sioux City 7, Shreveport-Bossier 4
CF Dustin Jones, 1B Jacob Cruz, and RF Steve Pearson each enjoyed three-hit games as Sioux City knocked off Shreveport-Bossier 7-4. 3B Andres Rodriguez went 2-for-4 and DH Brian Nichols drove in two runs for the Explorers in the loss. RHP David Trahan picked up the win for Sioux City, striking out six and surrendering two earned runs in 3.2 innings of work. SS Javier Brown added two hits for the Explorers.
El Paso 8, Pensacola 5
C Adam Deleo went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and SS Arnoldo Ponce launched a two-run homer in El Paso's four-run seventh inning as they broke their losing streak by besting Pensacola 8-5. RHP David Whigham earned the win with three hitless innings of relief, striking out a pair of Pelicans. CF Francisco Leandro doubled twice as Pensacola's leadoff hitter, and C Lou Palmisano reached base three times in the Pelicans' loss.
