A terrific pitching performance by St. Paul starter Brandon Kintzler leads the Saints to victory over the Wichita Wingnuts. Kintzler threw seven solid innings allowing only one earned run on eight hits with eight strikeouts. Kintzler moves his record to 7-2 on the season with the victory. 3B Jeff Eure led the St. Paul offense going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a RBI. Saints RF Brent Krause hit his seventh home run of the year in a 1-for-4 night. Wingnuts DH Greg Porter and 3B Michael Thompson each had three hits in the losing cause.

A tremendous offensive display and a solid pitching performance by Grand Prairie starter Jose Cordero led the AirHogs to an easy win over the Shreveport-Bossier Captains. Everyone in the Grand Prairie batting order had at least two hits and eight of the nine scored at least two runs. 3B Cesar Nicolas was 4-for-6 with two runs scored and three RBI while LF Chad Gabriel had a 3-for-5 night with three runs scored and three runs batted in. Cordero threw a five-hit complete game shutout to run his record to 4-1 on the year. He allowed three walks while striking out six batters.
