Coastal Bend used a great outing from starting pitcher Kevin Hull in rolling to its 13th win of the season. Hull scattered five hits and allowed just one run in seven innings of work to improve to 3-2 on the year. Aviators LF Matt Spencer homered and went 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Coastal Bend offense. The Aviators had three other players record multi-hit games and totaled 10 as a team. Pelicans CF Nathan Warrick led Pensacola with a 2-for-4 night in the losing effort.

Sioux Falls 5, St. Joe 4

HR: SF-Wil Quintana 2(11), Matt Imwalle (8)

Sioux Falls RF Wil Quintana continued to swing a red hot bat in leading the Canaries to their 22nd win of the season. Quintana was 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI. His two homers bring his season total to 11, extending his league lead. Sioux Falls 3B Matt Imwalle is also making some noise in the home run race. He homered in a 2-for-3 effort, giving him eight on the year, good for second in the American Association. Those two aren't the only league leaders wearing a Canaries uniform. Closer Jerrod Fuell extended his league-leading saves total to 10 thanks to a scoreless ninth.

Shreveport 5, Fort Worth 4 (10 innings)

The Shreveport Sports needed extra innings to get their 17th win of the year as they scored a run in the bottom of the 10th to edge the Fort Worth Cats. Sports 1B Justin Humphries led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. LF J.P. Schmidt also had a good night for Shreveport. Schmidt was 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Reliever Mal Winters was credited with the victory, evening his record at 1-1, after he pitched two scoreless innings and struck out two.

St. Paul 13, Lincoln 1

The St. Paul Saints got plenty of offense in front of a home crowd of 5,523. The Saints collectively pounded out 21 hits en route to a 13-1 win. The beneficiary of such support was starting pitcher Luis Villarreal who scattered eight hits and struck out seven in eight innings of work. The win improves his record to a perfect 3-0 on the year. Every player in the St. Paul lineup had at least one hit including 3B Alex Fonseca, who was 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Seven of the nine St. Paul hitters recorded at least two hits.

El Paso 13, Sioux City 4

El Paso got plenty of offense in a 13-4 win against Sioux City at home. The Diablos tallied 19 hits and were led at the plate by 3B Juan Camacho who was 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. Every other Diablos hitter that came to the plate got at least one hit and seven turned in multi-hit games. Starting pitcher Greg Wiltshire got the win, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five through seven innings of work. His record improves to 5-2.
