Coastal Bend starting pitcher Pedro Flores was sensational tonight as he led the Aviators to a big win over the Pelicans. It is their second win in a row and brings them within three games of first place Fort Worth after they lost tonight against Shreveport. Flores went eight solid innings allowing only one run on one hit, a Jose Yepez RBI double, with three strikeouts. The win for Flores was his sixth of the season. The Aviators pounded out 11 hits in the game with DH Matt Creighton and SS Jack Joffrion each having 2-for-4 nights.

St. Paul 10, St. Joe 7

St. Paul ran out to a 4-0 lead through two innings and cruised to a big victory over St. Joe. The win for the Saints increased their lead in the North Division Wild Card race to three games over the Blacksnakes. St. Paul starting pitcher Justin Lord picked up his 10th win of the season going 7 1/3 innings giving up four runs, all earned, on seven hits with two strikeouts. Lord was helped out tonight by 1B Brian Buchanan who had a big night with the bat going 2-for-3 with three runs scored, four RBI, and a seventh inning grand slam. St. Joe leadoff hitter CF Scooter Jordan went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Lincoln 12, El Paso 5

Lincoln hammered out 14 hits and plated 12 runs en route to their ninth straight win. LF Pichi Balet led the Saltdogs at the plate with a perfect 4-for-4 outing with four runs scored, two RBI, and his ninth home run of the year. DH Luis Lopez also chipped in going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Ben Fox notched his eighth win of the year going six innings giving up two earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. 3B J.P. Schmidt, C Matt Eichel, and 2B Brandon Haygood each had two-hit evenings for the Diablos with Eichel and Schmidt scoring a run.

Shreveport 8, Fort Worth 3

Shreveport would break open a close game late by scoring five runs in the top of the seventh inning and beating Fort Worth. With the loss by the Cats and the victory by Coastal Bend, Fort Worth's lead is now three games in the South Division. Shreveport had 15 hits in the game with SS Enohel Polanco going 4-for-5 with a run scored. RF Al Corbeil and SS Ron Fenwick also had two hits apiece with each scoring two runs. T.J. Hendricks picks up the win, his sixth of the year, by throwing six strong innings allowing an earned run on seven hits with four punchouts.
