The game between Pensacola and El Paso was suspended due to rain with the score tied 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning. The game will resume Wednesday July 8th at 5:30PM and be followed by the regularly scheduled game which will be seven innings.

Shreveport-Bossier 10, Grand Prairie 5

Shreveport-Bossier batted around in the eighth inning and scored four runs to turn a tight 6-5 game into a 10-5 victory. C Tommy Bryant hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning to give the Captains a 4-1 lead before the AirHogs tied the game in their half of the frame. Logan Williamson pitched five innings for Shreveport-Bossier and got the win to improve to 6-2. Bryant finished with four RBI and Captains 1B Andres Rodriguez finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two batted in.

Sioux City 12, Lincoln 8

1B Jason Colson's double down the left field line drove in three runs and snapped an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning as Sioux City defeated Lincoln by a 12-8 final. Explorers C Brett Mieras also drove in three as part of a 2-for-3 night at the plate and four other Sioux City batters had at least one RBI. Lincoln got homers from CF Josh Burrus and DH Steve Alexander, who drove in four in a losing effort. Saltdogs LF Pichi Balet finished 3-for-5 in the contest.

Wichita 8, St. Paul 7

@ Wichita, KS. Time: 2:50 Attendance: 4,076

W: Gabe Medina (7-2) L: Reed Dickert (2-3) S: Joe D'Alessandro (1)

HR: WIC- Nick Blasi (3); SP- Jacob Butler (12)

Wichita jumped out to an early 6-2 lead and with the help of new closer Joe D'Alessandro, held on for an 8-7 win over St. Paul. The Wingnuts got good production from the top of their batting order as leadoff man Josh Horn went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and CF Nick Blasi added a homerun. Starter Gabe Medina was efficient for six innings as he allowed four runs on six hits to up his mark to 7-2 on the season with the win. After St. Paul had crept within a run heading to the top of the ninth inning Joe D'Alessandro came in and retired the Saints with a groundout and two strikeouts. It was his first save with Wichita.

The scheduled game between Ft. Worth and Sioux Falls was postponed due to rain. It will be played as part of a doubleheader Wednesday, July 8th beginning at 5:05PM.
