Time: 2:37 Attendance: 5,511 W: Derek Blacksher (8-2) L: Mitch Wylie (7-6) S: Joe D'Alessandro (7) HR: None Saints reliever Mike Bille hit RF Dustan Mohr with a pitch in the top of the eighth inning and forced SS Josh Horn home with the eventual game winning run as the Wichita edged St. Paul, 3-2. The league's Pitcher of the Week, Derek Blacksher, was solid in picking up his eighth win of the season. Blacksher went 7 2/3 innings allowing two earned runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts. Wingnuts closer Joe D'Alessandro tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn his seventh save of the season. St. Paul CF Anthony Norman was 2-for-3 and scored both of their runs in defeat. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

RBI singles by 1B Patrick Reilly and DH JD Reininger plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning that broke a 3-3 tie and helped the Sioux Falls Canaries get past the Sioux City Explorers. SS Tim Hutting, RF Cory Harris and C Ken Lup each collected two hits on the night to lead the Canaries offense. Sioux Falls reliever Andrew Pluta pitched a scoreless eighth inning to pick up his third win of the season. Sioux City LF Justin Nelson was 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fort Worth 15, Shreveport-Bossier 4 @ Fort Worth, TX. Time: 2:46 Attendance: 2,211 W: Joel Kirsten (8-4) L: Logan Williamson (8-4) S: None HR: SH-Jose Torres (4); FW-John Allen (12)
The Fort Worth Cats fell behind early 2-1 after an inning and a half. After that the Cats poured it on as they scored three runs in the third and fourth innings and four more in the fifth to go up 11-2 and would roll from there to a huge win over Shreveport-Bossier. Everyone in the Fort Worth lineup had at least one hit and eight of the nine batters plated at least a run. Cats 3B Michael Bell was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and four RBI while 1B John Allen had a 3-for-5 night with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Fort Worth starting pitcher Joel Kirsten easily notched his eighth win of the season. Kirsten allowed four earned runs on eight hits over seven innings of work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

It was all Grand Prairie in this game as the AirHogs rolled out to a 10-3 lead after three innings and coasted to a big win over the Pensacola Pelicans. The top three in the Grand Prairie batting order, LF Aaron Garza, SS Daniel Berg and 3B Cesar Nicolas went a combined 8-for-15 at the plate with two home runs, four runs scored and 10 RBI. AirHogs starter Matt Green tossed a complete game giving up three earned runs on eight hits with nine strikeouts. With the victory, he improved his record to 4-5 on the year. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
El Paso 5, Lincoln 0 @ El Paso, TX. Time: 2:43 Attendance: 1,924 W: Justin Mallett (4-4) L: Brian Campbell (3-4) S: None HR: None
El Paso starting pitcher Justin Mallett was sensational in the the Diablos win over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Mallett threw a five-hit complete game shutout in which he walked three and struck out six. With the victory, he runs his record to 4-4 on the season. Diablos RF Jeff Vincent went 2-for-3 with two runs scored while SS Arnoldo Ponce had a two-hit night and drove in a run. RF Rafael Alvarez had a 3-for-4 night for Lincoln in the losing cause. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
